Medical advice and vaccinations for overseas travel are provided by the practice nurses as well as other routine vaccinations. If you are unsure whether you need vaccinations, please come in and see one of the nurses who can advise you accordingly.
There will be charges for the provision of private anti-malarial prescriptions as well as Meningitis ACWY vaccination and Hepatitis B.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to give us at least 4 weeks notice (To ensure we have the vaccines in stock and to give them time to work once given).
First you will need to complete a travel questionnaire (See the link below) and return it to the surgery.
This is passed on to the practice nurse who can then determine what vaccines you will require and order them if necessary. We will then contact you and make you an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements and give you the relevant vaccinations.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
