In the past these were done by our practice nurses. Due to the increasing pressure on the nurses, two of our receptionists have trained to provide this service. The healthcare assistants will start by undertaking blood tests, and will in the future be trained to undertake other tasks. This will free up time for the practice nurses to spend more time on other duties, to improve a more comprehensive service for all patients.
