Non-urgent advice: Notice

Under the new NHS contract, all GPs are required to provide all registered patients with a named accountable GP. Therefore, as a patient at this surgery you have been allocated a Named Accountable GP.  To find out who your Named Accountable GP is please ask at reception. This does NOT mean that you can only see this GP, you can see any GP of your choice providing there are available appointments.

Miss Jessica Norris

Sean Mallalieu

Receptionist

Non-urgent advice: Notice

You may notice that it takes slightly longer for the receptionists to book your appointment. This is because they will be looking at your computer screen to check if there are other things overdue for your care that they can arrange for you. This will also happen when you arrive to collect prescriptions, or any other contact you may have with the receptionists. In addition to this, the receptionists may offer to undertake your blood pressure reading, or measure your height and weight, or ask whether you smoke. They have instructions from the doctors to do so, although you are free to decline. A great deal of this is because the government wants GP practices to do more and more recording and there is a definite limit on how much the doctors and nurses can squeeze into normal consultation times. We ask for your cooperation when the receptionist asks these questions.
